the upcoming Islamic Speaker Bureau (ISB) training workshop to help
promote peace, increase cultural competency, and prevent discrimination
in our communities. These
workshops are designed to meet the needs of today's busy Muslims living
in Chicago and the greater Chicago area. You will learn how to improve
your communications about Islam with others, while increasing your
Islamic literacy.

| Who Can Attend |
The speaker training workshops are open to all Muslims
who are interested in learning how to speak in public about
Islam from an educational perspective. You do NOT
have to become a speaker for ING to attend this program, although
we would love to have you join the Islamic Speaker Bureau.
Certified ISB speakers are invited to schools and other public
and private institutions, and deliver onsite presentations
to students and adults each year.

| What You Will Learn |
The workshops will benefit you tremendously by increasing
your knowledge of Islam and how to speak about Islam to non-Muslim
colleagues, friends and general audiences. ING's work and content
materials are scholarly based. The ISB speakers kit
you will receive was developed over many years by scholars,
including Shaykh Hamza Yusf, Imam Zaid Shakir, Dr. Umar Faruq
Abdulla, Dr. Ingrid Mattson and Dr.Sherman Jackson; indigenous
scholars who are traditionally educated.
The ISB program has been the core of our outreach efforts to increase
religious literacy and promote mutual respect among people of all
faiths and none.
